Tesla isn’t making any promises on Model 3 production targets (TSLA)

- Tesla said that it intends to built 2,500 Model 3 vehicles by the end of Q1 and 5,000 by the end of Q2.
- But it also said that a troubled Model 3 ramp means those goals aren’t certain.
- On the plus side, it expects to sell another 100,000 Model S and Model X vehicles in 2018.
Tesla lost less money in the fourth quarter than expected — and brought in slightly more revenue than analysts anticipated.
However, the carmaker still lost almost $12 per share in 2017, on a nonadjusted basis, more than double its 2016 loss.
