- Tesla says it temporarily shut down the Model 3 assembly line at its Fremont factory on Monday.
- It’s the second shutdown since February. The automaker says the planned pause is part of its effort to “improve automation and systematically address bottlenecks” in the production of its first entry-level electric car.
- After repeated delays in production of its Model 3 sedan, Tesla is now trying to catch up to a target of building 2,500 vehicles per week by the end of the second quarter.
