John Bell III, the deputy executive director for the Office of Mission Support at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), has died, according to posts on LinkedIn.

Tim Rood, founder and CEO of Impact Capitol, shared the news in a post on Wednesday evening.

“I wanted to make sure that folks knew that John Bell III, most recently Executive Director for VA Loan Guaranty Service, has passed away following an extended illness,” Rood wrote. “He will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him or worked with him.
