Stock futures are lower on Tuesday morning as oil prices continue sliding.
Following a flattish close on Monday, Dow futures were down about 111 points near 7:40 a.m. ET, S&P 500 futures were down 13 points, and Nasdaq futures were off 31 points. All the indexes were close to a 1% decline.
Crude oil was down nearly 3%, with West Texas Intermediate crude in New York approaching the $30 per barrel mark yet again. WTI had fallen to as low as $30.40 before the market open.
