If I had grown up under different circumstance, would I still have ended up with a degree, career, and a life with relatively no struggle? Frankly, I think it’s unlikely.

I had every advantage in the world as a child. A stable family, including a stay-at home mom who catered to my every need, and a father with a well-paying consulting job that made Christmases and birthdays more than satisfying and annual vacations memorable.
